Posted by Jer on 12/10/2005, 11:31 am Everywhere I look for info, all it says is, "WARNING, DO NOT FEED TO DOGS OR HORSES!" My horse is very sick, my dog died, the vet said it is a toxicity of some kind, had an analysis done at the manufacturer of our bag of feed, and they say "oh no, couldn't possibly be the feed," but it is the only thing the vet or I can come up with.( in our opinion) My dog's liver failed and he turned very yellow, eyes, gums, skin, ears , nose, lethargic, off food and water and was dead, (despite all the care that our wonderful caring vet gave him, he was just so toxic and didn't stand a chance) within a week of cleaning up what the horse had slobbered around the feed pail.(in my opinion)

Hi,
If anyone could please tell me where to look for symptoms of what rumensin will do to dogs and horses if ingested, it would be great. The reason I say rumensin, is because the company does make cow feed and horse feed, and now I wish to heaven above, I had never bought horse feed from them.(Just my opinion)
Great, okay, we know that it may very well be fatal, but in what way??????? WHAT are the signs and syptoms that they may have ingested it?? What are the signs and symptoms that they may be dying???
Took the horse off the feed and he is starting to clear up now.(in my opinion) BAD diarrhea! Lethargy.
Please help. We need to know what killed our very young (only 5 !!! ) very healthy, exuberant, friend. He was my son's dog and my son is just devastated!
Jerry
