Hey everyone, I'm a 2nd year student at one of the Case programs. If anyone needs any questions answered I will try to respond in a timely fashion. I benefited so much from this board when I was applying so It would be great to be able to give back. Good luck!

How's the financial package look like? Does it mainly contain loans? Will CASE give some grants or Scholarships inside the financial package?

That's great! It's nice to get information directly from current students. Thank you, @AAinMD for your willingness to help.
Here are some questions for you :-). 1) Which location are you in now? Each location has its advantages. Which factors did you consider to choose this location? 2) What do you like about the program at your location? Anything you hope school /AA program will change in future? 3) Is it convenient to travel between school, apartment, and hospital? Do you like the life in that city? 4) What’s a typical day looks like in your 1st year of the program? What’s the big challenge for you back then? 5) How’s the rotation scheduling? Do you get the hospitals you want to do the rotations easily?
Sorry that’s a lot of questions, you don’t have to answer them all at once. Thank you for your help and time.

Hey no problem. I should preface by saying that everyone's experience will be different based on their personal life experience and background. 1)I am in the Cleveland program. I chose Cleveland because of its reputation for excellence, and because of its established history and clinical network which enabled me to choose to stay in Cleveland for rotations if I so desired. 2)I cannot compare my program or campus to any others because I have only one perspective, but I love the emphasis on the clinical experience and its immersive training. 3)A really nice thing about our program is that the classrooms, offices. and our simulation lab are all nestled in the middle of our main hospital where we do most of our rotations. so the commute is quick to and from the hospital. My time from home to school is 10 minutes but some live closer and some live further away. Cleveland is a wonderful city with plenty of things to do, especially if you have kids. The winters are kinda bad, but the summer is beautiful! 4)Typical day first year involves a mix between class and clinicals with the clinical days increasing as the year goes on. The summer is spent in a clinical "boot camp" where we learn an overview of everything and get our first taste of the operating room and patient contact. It progresses in fall to 2 day a week clinicals and 3 days class and then in spring its 3 days of clinical and 2 of class. By the next summer we are in the OR 5 days a week. A typical didactic day starts at 700 and a clinical day around 600. The challenges are definitely balancing the mastery of all the new clinical skills you are learning with the massive amount of didactic knowledge. You will arrive home exhausted from a day on your feet and then need to study late into the night for a test the next day. You get used to it and it is very rewarding work. Ill try to answer the next question soon. I hope I answered your questions well...don't hesitate with follow up questions! Good luck

Thank you very much. How many students are interviewed on one day then? How many of you went out dinner with second year students the night before the interview?

Hi AAinMD, Do you remember after interview, in how many days you got acceptances from CASE, did you get a phone call or email first before the letter? Thanks.
