Where have the AA's from the most recent graduating classes been getting jobs? I know it's impossible to know where every single new graduate is working, but is there a general trend (e.g., the northeast, southeast, etc.)? I have heard that the majority of AA's who graduated last year took jobs in the northeast and a few in the midwest, but I have no idea how accurate this information is...
Probably not very accurate. Northeast? We barely can practice there. I would say graduates received job offers from all over the country (specifically where they rotate). I've heard Ohio, Texas, SC, GA etc. Not sure about a trend, but Missouri is actively trying to expand there AA numbers, and probably Wisconsin. Groups hire when they have a need for more staff, so it depends on the hospital. People may retire, move, quit, get fired or any other situation, and they will need to re-staff, so it's a hard question to answer. Hospitals expand OR's too so more staff is needed. By the time you would graduate it will be a different situation so who knows where most people are getting hired. It could be a new state.
Thanks. More specifically, do you know how the hiring situation for AA's is in GA and AL? I had always been interested in working in one of those two states after hypothetically graduating, but I heard the hiring situation is more contentious for AA's in those states...
