I keep receiving the same email from NOVA Admissions thanking me for completing my application (which I completed in October). Then the rest of the e-mail tells me I can check Webstar to look at the status of my application and see if I have any documents they are waiting to receive. The only thing they haven't received is my Master's transcript because I haven't completed the degree yet and I won't have a transcript until end of May. I spoke with an admissions person and they said this does not hold me back from being reviewed and my application is not considered incomplete.
Has anyone else been receiving a similar email or in a similar situation? I want to know if I'm being sent this email because something is missing or because it's a general email sent to everyone.
If the admissions department thinks that your application is complete then its complete. The emails sound like an automated reply sent to everyone in the application pool.
You don't have to wait until you complete your masters program to send a transcript. You can request that your school send a transcript of the classes that you have completed and that are in progress. At the end of this semester, you can send another copy of your transcript with this semester's grades. This will help strengthen your application.
