24.126.250.244For what it's worth, I received a phone call my admissions contact at Nova in the end of April who told me that I was highly placed on the wait-list and as of May 6th, I still have not received an official letter from the school telling me that I was rejected. I called my contact and he told me that whether I start the program this year depends on how many accepted candidates fail to accept/pay/send in paper work. If you haven't received an official letter yet, then you're probably in the same position.
For me, I'm assuming that I'm not going this year since even if I were accepted, it would be hard for me to move to Florida with very little notice, but you still have a chance.
Also keep in mind that if you were wait-listed this year and you continue to improve yourself then you will probably get in next year.

You make reference to the fact, that you heard they still haven't picked people. Does this mean that there are vacancies in the incoming class or that no one has moved off the waiting list?

74.63.117.178Apparently the "realist" has an inferiority complex. I guess he's tired of being all bad-ass by yelling at babies in a crowded restaurant and slamming doors in the faces of old ladies.
In real life, he gets kicked around by his ex-wife and his boss at the Dairy Queen. Customers are rude to him and his car often breaks down, but no one will stop to give the guy a hand or a ride. On the internet, however, his life is new and exciting! He is a macho special forces warrior - no doubt wearing a firefighter t-shirt that says "I Fight What You Fear" while playing World of Warcraft (but he's never been a firefighter, or anyone important for that matter). And always with a stern word to anyone he can hope to make feel worse than himself. All in the day of the internet cool guy.
Anyway, if you don't get in no problem - it's not ideal, but you will make it if you keep trying. There are a lot of very qualified people, so keep working at it. - Re: Nova Waitlist

24.154.203.207There are plenty of jackasses on this forum. It would be funny to put faces to some of the names of them on this forum with the people at the admissions offices and the program directors at these schools...
I have yet to hear back from NOVA either, but I am taking the MCAT this summer and have two job offers, one for training to become an anesthesia tech, and another as a surgical assistant at an oral surgery facility. I will do those and continue to reapply.
Persistence is key.
