this applies to any field. if you really want to learn about the profession, just try to do it as many hours as you can. obviously if you are a busy person and have 3 hours available a week and shadows 2, it would show more serious interest than a lazy ass unemployed newly college grad with 40 hours available a week and only shadow 5 hours. if you are really serious about a field you're going into, why try to find the minimum amount of work you have to do to get into the program? obviously it shows how little interest you show for the work and is only trying to find a well paying job.
