I think you should be just fine. I’m actually from Michigan and got into the programs I applied to without any issues. Your main disadvantage might just be the fact that the people in these states may have had a better chance to speak/shadow with AA’s one on one, where as in Michigan that can be a lot more difficult to find.
That being said, it is my impression that the programs do have a large percentage of their students from Georgia and Florida. It’s just harder to find out about it in an area where there aren’t any programs.
