Where I work and neighboring hospitals, CRNAs and AAs get same benefits, same pay, same schedule, same autonomy.

The CRNAs I talk to at rural hospitals tend to make more as they are the only providers and are the ultimate in anesthesia care for their hospital - and hold the contract negotiations. But, they (doctors at some of the rural hospitals) generally farm out the more difficult things to higher acuity centers - still good pay and good work, but they mainly do less-complicated procedures (the CRNAs I know at these hospitals told me this as they send us their harder cases and mainly do gallbladders and minor ortho, but do have some OB/GYN as well).

Of course the CRNAs are very good at what they do, as things do go wrong and they must be ready to manage them no matter where they work.
