I lived in Tucker, it was about 10 miles away from Emory and I loved it. A lot of Docs I know lived in the Stone Mtn. area, and that is a good, relatively safe area. But Tucker borders Clarkston and Decatur which (in my opinion) arent the best communities-great people, but not super "safe." But for the money and the area, I loved Tucker. You could also just call a real estate company (i.e. Remax, Keller Williams, etc) and ask to talk with an agent. They could give you a little better insight, as its been 7 years since I was last in Atlanta. Also, Norcross and Chamblee were great too, but just a little bit north of Tucker=longer commute in Atlanta traffic! Yikes!
