I'm doing it this way because of the timing and my current living situation. I'm a single mother living with my parents. I have no financial obligations aside from my car payment which will be paid off in a few months. Now is the time to go to school because I won't be getting myself into a load of debt. My son is only 3 now, but the older he gets, the more financial support he will need from me. I plan to get experience hours on the weekends with shadowing and voluteering, but if not, I can look for a job in the health care field after I finish my post bac. School is what will take the most time, so it's better for me to do it now while I have a few luxuries at my disposal. I'm not confused about how to get what I need done. I just want to be sure that I know exactly what it is that I need to do. The last time I spoke with a couple of the schools it wasn't very helpful. Granted, it was during the holidays as well as interviewing time so I know they were all busy, but I know I can't go wrong with the first step... going back to school to fix my gpa. I would need to do that whether I was going into anesthesia or for any other professional endeavors.
