Well everybody-its lookin like the soonest any AA will be in Utah will be January 2011. The house voted and defeated the bill that would license AAs in Utah. This is the 2nd year now, but the Pres. of the UMA has told me he is hopeful that it will pass next year. They had a hearing a few weeks ago and you could literally split the room in half...CRNAs and MDs...and you could cut the tension in the room with a knife. I just don't understand why the legislators wont listen to their state's medical association and anesthesia providers who are lobbying for us to be there. Oh well...looks like well just have to go again next year...patience is a virtue so they say...
