This is opinion overlayed with the strongest understanding of being a clinician I have heard of in some time!
    1. "multiple studies" all state that AA's are equal to CRNA's in Safety.

    2. "Maryland legislators would want the highest skilled masters prepared clinician handling their loved one's cases" - Right on target!

    3. "If some of the CRNA's who are practicing today were to have taken the AA program route they would have failed," So CRNA's must start showing some respect to AA's. AA's have a harder road to the O.R.!

    4. "You really must have an above average intelligence to become and AA and an AA can transition into a doctorate program to become an anesthesiologist much quicker than a CRNA could. That is why CRNA programs like the one rumored at Univ. of Maryland are currently in the process of switching their CRNA program to a doctorate degree "

so the fact is that it is truly easier to become a CRNA it just takes about 7 to 8 years compared to the accelerated AA program that covers the same materials in just 2.5 years...wow

    5. (which unfortunately also does not give a nurse much O.R. experience if any at all). The TRUTH

    6. and create less risk for Maryland patients,"

How...by sending inexperienced clinicians to provide anesthesia? No...by requiring Anesthesiologists to be directly supervising the "highest skilled masters prepared clinician" unlike CRNA's which can be in the O.R. practicing independently without the help of an Anesthesiologist in the event of a major emergency. (Very Dangerous Practice stubborn Stanley)

Have A Great Day and Support Senate Bill 798 and House Bill 1161!

    Stubborn Stanley CRNA
