Potential oversupply of AAs/CRNAs?Archived Message

New CRNA programs are being established across the country every year, and while the rate of openings of new AA programs is significantly diminished in comparison, it seems like many more anesthetists (both CRNAs and AAs) will be flooding the job market during the proceeding decades.
Do you think that an oversupply of anesthetists will be observed in the near future? After all, if programs eventually graduate enough new anesthetists to relieve the demand for providers, what will happen to job availability, salary, etc.?
