Hi Sid, every one on keeps saying or telling you to become an CNA or EMT.
If you really want direct patient contact in the O.R. involving Trauma, CV-Hearts, Neuro, Pediatric, and off site areas involving anesthesia such as MRI, Angio, Cath Lab, GI, ICU, E.R., Cricoid pressure during intubation (assisting the Anesthesiologists M.D./D.O. & Anesthetists A.A.-C./R.N.,A.A.-C. & C.R.N.A.) , Anesthesia machines, and Pharmacology etc..
I would suggest becoming an Anesthesia Technician (A.T.) you'll be surprise how much you can learn as an A.T., most A.T. jobs are in house training (meaning on the job training) vs. having to attend an accredited Anesthesia Technology School which award you a Bachelor's or Associate degree and/or Diploma Certification as an A.T..
I hope I have help you in some way and I wish you the best in AA program.
