life changing events have me looking into being an AA Archived Message

Well I fumbled through the message board seeing if it may hold any valuable information. The last comment made sense to me as far as going ahead and using this site to learn and find out as much as possible so here I write.

I'll give a quick warning, I'm pretty fresh out of recent surgery and fighing to stay awake while writing and stay out of pain. All while attempting to keep my mind busy resaerching the long haul of becoming an Anesthesiologist.

I'll throw in a blurp about why and will in the blanks later. For now I can say I'm established and living life married with 4 kids and working in the dental field. I enjoy challenging myself, working hard and using my talents and brain and plan to continue as much as possible throughout my life. Creates growth in challenging mysef and hopefully blesses others I'm able to serve, help, teach or even those able to watch hard work pay off (namely my kids if nobody else).

I set goals to hold a good career where I was able to use my brain, make a healthy income supporting my family & progress in bits of time (which I make available along the way) to move towards my next career shift.

I've done this for many years after researching how often people get board, change their careers and figured I'd jump in and enjoy learning regardless how many years it could take. As surely 10 or 12 years down the road I would have to switch starting from scratch anyhow.

I'm writing this on my 'smartphone' and sure hope it doesn't come across generic. My apologies, & I hope those reading may be able to help as I throw out my situation, thoughts and stories.

I live in the Denver, Colorado area & one of my steps shifted, changing my look at my future goals. (a few things I witnessed going on actual began to shape my thinking, it was the straw being they pulled one of the 'go between dental programs')

I was very impressed with an Anesthesiologist going into my recent Ankle Surg and looked into this very helpful medical expertise.

I keep reading what tid bits I can find and now I'm here with questions that may be simple for most and will get wiser and more appreciative as I continue research.

I read that in order to begin a 24month journey to be an AA you must first have a bachelorette in either Chemistry or biology..

Is there fast trck options out there for AA's? how long to get a bachelorette? is it set to only be done 4yrs-then the following 2 etc?..

keep in mind, I'm not worried about how long this takes as much as preparing to keep my family taken care of while doing all this as well...
