    Good points....but also

    Denying facts by the other side that come from your own professional organization. Specifically: The AANA says that even with the increase in schools, 1000 too few CRNAs are coming out EACH year to keep up with demand. And that does not take into account the increasing number of Baby boomer CRNAs who are going to retire in the next 10-15 years.

    Refusing to admit to yourself that the only reason you are so against AAs is you see it as a job threat. You would rather endanger patients and provide inadequate anesthesia care nationwide than to risk losing your job or getting less money..

    (I am a CRNA with 33 years experience. We need AAs in the market place because the CRNAs and AANA have raised their requirements so high, we can not get enough people into NURSE anesthesia. We dropped the ball. So to be fair, we need to let others pick it up.)
