Both the Netherlands & England have been interested in creating an Anesthesiologist Assistant position. Unfortunately, it is more likely to be based on the Canadian AA model. In such a case, US AAs would be overqualified for the position. We would probably be hired as AAs there, but the responsibilities & pay would correlate to the position that they have created.
