I browsed over a few locum tenens AA/CRNA job postings, and they're all pretty enticing. Not only is the schedule typically a strict M-F, 7-3 agreement, but the daily pay (for 8 hours) tends to vary from $800-$900 and the agency foots the bill for a hotel room, rental car w/paid gas mileage and a per-diem food allowance.
I would like to hear from some AAs who have participated in this kind of work. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages? It doesn't sound like there are any disadvantages, but every good deal has to have a few. Are these locum tenens assignments really as good as they sound?
