I am in a clinical lab right now, and I just got a phone call from one of the floors asking "what the source is for a urine". Before that I had a nurse question what "WBL" means on a tube. When told it means whole blood I had the nurse tell me "thats all they do draw" WELL DUH. Nurses call tell me they are sending specimens, well hand delivery usually is a indicator of specimen delivery. Education is not just a grade from a course, it also refers to how much you try to learn on your own! I am not even done with my bachelors and I have BSN educated nurses asking me if a wound culture can be done stat. WISE UP NURSES!
