Direct Supervision. That does not mean the MDA is standing behind you looking over your shoulder ever second of the case. It means that there is a DIRECT supervisory relationship between the AA (or CRNA) and the MDA. No one between the two. In this relationship, the AA (or CRNA) is under direct supervision of the MDA, even if he is in the lounge having a cup of coffee. (When having an argument, first define your terms.)
