Nova's programs don't list their matriculant statistics, but for other programs the average gpa of accepted students is around 3.5 with a science gpa around 3.45. Competitive GRE scores are the 55th percentile range or higher and MCAT is around a 25. Some programs only accept the MCAT, but for the ones that take both, I think the important thing is to have a competitive score on whichever test you choose. If you're GRE isn't competitive, give the MCAT a try. If anything, you'll look dedicated. Contact Nova Tampa directly and I'm sure an admissions rep would be happy to answer your questions. As far as shadowing, contact a hospital and tell them you're a prospective AA student looking for some shadow hours. If you know someone, that could help you get into shadow as well. Hope this helps and good luck!
