Re: Does getting rejected twice without an interview really mean there's no chance -- ever?
It sounds like you've made a lot of improvements on your application, and that's great! I would have to agree with _ and Applicant. Consider the MCAT and getting a Master's in something relative to the medical field. Review your narrative and LOR's. And if not the MCAT, I would suggest you try to improve your quant on the GRE. I can say from my scenario, my verbal was in the dumps but my quant was really good. My stats are very similar to yours. I was interviewed and accepted to both campuses for Nova. With that said, quant seems to be a very big factor. If I had to guess, they didn't extend an interview b/c of your quant and maybe your narrative (although I really don't know what it says). Talk to the professors there. Call and email the program and get what you can from them as to why you weren't interviewed and ask them these same questions. Oh, and applying to Tampa wouldn't hurt. From what Professor Wagner said (he's at Tampa now), that program isn't going anywhere. On the other hand, how much do you really want to become an AA? I assume a lot b/c you made all those improvements and applied twice, but there are plenty of other interesting fields within medicine. Sometimes you have to just sit back and re-assess yourself. And I don't mean are you good or not good enough, but rather what are other things that spark your interest just as much? Where do you stand in life and how much "time" and all those things that you would consider when assessing your life. I don't mean to be an ass, but you get my drift. Just keep your head up AND STAY POSITIVE AND OPTIMISTIC. It's okay to be bummed, but after you get it out of your system just get back up head-strong. If you're determined, you'll get to where you want (and maybe not in this field in particular, but other professions in the medical field). Know that you will always have options - ALWAYS.
