My application is also in at Emory; hopefully, we will hear good news within the next week or so.
If I get rejected yet again, I'm really not sure what to do to improve my application besides improving my GRE quantitative score and/or working a healthcare job. Unfortunately, every single position at all the hospitals around here that involves some degree of patient contact requires educational certification, and I was really hoping to avoid spending $5k - 10k on one or two semesters worth of medical assisting (or whatever) classes (there aren't any local EMT courses where I live either). The shortest program at the local technical school is a CNA program, and I've talked to several people who couldn't handle more than a few weeks' worth of working that position because of all the, uh, excrement. I'm really not interested in taking care of patients in THAT manner, if you get what I mean.
If I really want to get accepted to AA school, though, it looks like I'll have to do something. What were your plans aside from re-taking the GRE?
