Re: How many times to re-apply before moving on?
I might try taking the MCAT or else take a prep class for the GRE as someone else has mentioned doing. I have heard that each question is worth 3%, so if I scored in the 45th percentile the last time I took it, then that means I only need to re-take it and get 3 or 4 more questions correct to be around the 55% cut-off for South, which also happens to be the "competitive score" for Emory (apparently, they call it that, but it's not a strict cut-off). As far as being fixated on going to Emory, I live fairly close (relatively short driving distance) and would prefer to go somewhere close to home. I would apply to South but they have a strict 55% minimum GRE cut-off, so my application wouldn't even be reviewed if I applied. I'm waiting to see if Emory is going to extend an interview offer or reject me before I apply to Nova.
