Re: What does a typical AA work schedule look like?
Around here (midwest GA city), the anesthetists at some of the hospitals practice self-scheduling (I.e., choosing which cases they want to work), and a chief anesthetist at one of the hospitals I shadowed at told me that their AA's/CRNA's are usually working on their last cases of the day by 11 AM; they usually leave no later than 12:30-ish. I've heard that the hospitals in this area tend to offer an unusually "cushy" work schedule to AA's/CRNA's, though. It seems like anesthetists working in most other cities work until about 3:00 or later.
