That's true about not accepting. To everyone, I'd just apply if you really want it bad enough. Also, the B of course I not as good as an A (obviously). But really, you're reading too much into it. Sady you are just a number at this point, and a B (3.0) is just a number too. They won't think past that or read into why this person only raised 1 grade. They just won't. It's true, you need to be exceptional in other ways. Write a very good personal statement, and don't make excuses or whatnot. Also, just to raise people's spirits, not all B's or A's are equal. Don't get caught up worrying about that. Now the GRE is supposedly equal, but it's not your strong point. Oh well. Make it your goal to show them why you deserve a chance to meet them in an interview.
