Let's face it: the average GPA of matriculants at most AA programs is significantly lower than that of matriculants at most medical schools. For years, AA programs have been a backup choice for medical/dental school rejects who decided they could live with being an anesthetist and don't mind not being called a doctor. And the few AA program applicants who actually WANT to become AA's are mostly a group of lackluster, expendable, and intellectually disadvantaged simpletons who would be working as lab technicians, librarians, or even gas station attendants if they hadn't shammed their way into AA school.
In fact, maybe the career title should be rechristened as "anesthesiologist associate" so as to throw-off all of these moronic soon-to-be-disgraces to our profession.
These blithering idiots aren't even pitiful enough for a CRNA mill to extend a mercy acceptance to.
