This kind of information is available for almost ANY other profession, whether it's nursing, accounting, teaching... and so on. Just as average income for any profession (including anesthesia) is public information, so is information about common raise schedules.
Yes, there are differences in the compensation/raise schedules between individual groups and hospitals, but even the less common compensation plans differ only slightly from what tends to be offered.
So YES -- this kind of information IS my and anyone else's business, whether you'd like for it to be or not. I know you want to give pre-AA's and other healthcare professionals the impression that this kind of information is top-secret and privvy only to other mighty AA's, but the fact is, compensation information for the AA profession is just as public as that for any other profession. Why do you have the arrogance to think any differently?
