Re: Should I re-take physics 2 class?
I am actually concerned that I won't make an A this semester for the physics 1 class I'm currently re-taking. We have a mid-term coming up in a couple weeks (I'm going to study my butt off for this), and other than the mid-term, the only other test is the final exam. If I end up making a B in the class, I understand that this will look awful to the admissions committees and will be perceived by them as a sign that I can't handle graduate-level classes. (I.e., "If this guy can't handle college-level algebra based physics, then there's no way he can handle our graduate-level physics of anesthesia class!"). I know that I said the teacher is just awful (and that is the truth -- this class is an afterthought to him), but I understand that the AA schools want to see someone who is able to suck it up, accept the fact that learning the material for the course is squarely on my shoulders, and do whatever it takes to make an A regardless of how bad the teacher is.
