The point is not to debate whether or not anyone even wants to work in LaGrange; instead, what matters is that areas that may have once been friendly to AA's are now not hiring them. Of course, it is expected that everyone is going to assume the attitude of "We don't even care about working there!"
Also, when new grads are diving into a job market that's as dry as this one, it gets to the point where many of them would be happy just to work in an area that's in the remote vicinity of where they'd like to live. And if jobs in the state are really few and far between, the fact that almost all the hospitals in an entire city are off-limits to AA's can mean having to move out of state just to find a job.
LaGrange is now the second city I've heard about where anesthesia groups are no longer hiring AA's. I think the other city is either Albany or Columbus.
