The admission process was quite typical - a standard application, due Oct. 1, with an essay. Interviews begin in December and continue through March, one interview day. There's no correlation between when you get the interview (which keep in mind is an 8 hour day, as you meet individually with the admission board members) and acceptance. I got my interview earlier (in December), and knew a couple weeks later of the offer. Others knew a bit later than that, but consider I had been in contact with Case for over a year, doing several job shadows.
Minimum requirements, I believe are a 3.0 in GPA and a 20 MCAT score. The recommended is a 3.4+ GPA and 25+ MCAT score, however. This is not to say that if you get a lower score you're not competitive. Like most schools, one weak area on an otherwise strong application won't make the difference. But like all other AA schools, the prerequisites are very important.
http://staging.anesthesiaprogram.com/admissions.htm - Here you will find a chart of the average GPA scores, per year, of accepted applicants. I believe the average MCAT score this year was ~27.8. This doesn't mean that you HAVE to meet each stat. Like a gaussian distribution, some were higher and lower in each different category.
Obtaining the 3.4 GPA and 25 MCAT will certainly make you competitive. The biggest thing, I think, is that you have to be able to communicate your dedication and enthusiasm to a career in medicine. If you can do that, you'll be fine.
