I think your post and acknowledgment of the political realities, AA's are competent and if you read my posts you will see that I have constantly held that assertion. However I have also maintained that due the slavish devotion of the AAAA that AA's will forever be chained to the ACT and supervision/ direction. AA's are being used as a weapon against CRNA's, why the sudden interest in supporting the AA program after so many years of neglect?
As long as the AAAA is a subset of the ASA there is zero chance of any common ground between the AANA and the AAAA. Do you negotiate with a gun? No you do not the thing that the AAAA and a gun have in common is that neither has any free will, politically speaking.
Once the AAAA develops its own practice and stands on it's own then they will be someone in which the AANA will be interested in talking to.
AS for arrogance, I am simply pointing out my reason for having no fear of AA's, my position is outside the ACT therefore by law cannot be performed by an AA.
Save the what ifs, I have one what if the AAAA stopped supporting the ASA agenda? How long until the elimination of ASA support for new programs and training?
Reread your post and you will see the inherent conflicts.
Good luck Merry Christmas
