CRNAs going to doctorate, what does that mean for AAs

Hi,

I am considering going to AA school starting next year. I am concerned about a few things, however. When CRNAs are required to have a doctorate to practice, which I believe happens starting in 2015, what will this mean for AAs? Will their education increase as well so that they will be able to compete for the same jobs with the same pay? Or will they be seen as inferior to CRNAs, who are now "doctors"? I am really concerned about this because I don't want to put the money, time, and effort into becoming an AA if I will not have a job ten years from now.

Also, I have heard that all nurse practicioners will be required to have a doctorate degree by 2015. What will become of PA's?
