My husband's best friend was put to rest today due to uncontrollable seizures. This dog and my husband were deeply attached to each other. About 8 years ago, we were looking for a dog as a traveling companion for my husband, as he works out of town and lives near his job during the week. We heard about Lenny the boxer just days before he was to be euthanized because his former owners didn't know how to handle him. He turned out to be a great dog. All he needed was a human to be all his own, a pack leader. They had a unique relationship. I used to refer to Lenny as Brent's "mini-me'", they were so alike.
It will be hard to get used to his absense. He was a once in a lifetime dog.
