Robby spent the night in the hospital with a stomach ache. I thought it was odd that she was standing in her shed today and not out in the field enjoying the day, but then it got warm and she has winter hair. I thought she was just standing in the shade.
After my great ride on Saba that morning, I wanted to get on Robby since she is the perfect horse to work on myself with and can drop the reins and work on improving my seat. I had a nice walk/trot ride on her, unsaddled, and she went and laid down.
During the short time it took me to get her to the vet, her sides had bloated up and distended. My vet called at 9 last night and said Rob seemed ok at that point and was not on pain meds. I am still waiting to get word this morning.
So frustrating.
