What's up at your house today? I've been busy taking care of loose ends........and my how they back up!! Boy, the wind just started blowing and I mean LOUD........that wind and cold wasn't supposed to come in until tomorrow.......Wonder if it's coming early!!!
Well, at least things have quieted down out there for a while.........I sure don't know what that wind was all about. Last summer, we had a new roof put on the barn and am I ever happy that we did........not that I loved spending the money, but boy am I ever glad with all the wind that we've had this year. Our old barn roof kept coming loose in places and we would have to hire someone to go up and nail it back down.......well last summer we went ahead and had the whole roof taken off......new boards put on to nail to and new steel sheeting......it's so much quieter now.....not flopping around in the wind. Can you imagine how scared I was when they took off the roof......I was sure that a storm would blow up and rain on the hay that was left in the mow......but we were lucky and got it on without any trouble.
With the last wind storm last week....we just had one little skinny tree fall on the fence, but no major damage there either. Donald got it off the fence and tightened the wire back up and it looks just fine.....
Well, I don't have all that snow that you guys have out west and we didn't get those tornadoes that they got down south so I guess that I sure can be thankful......now, just have to get through the wind and cold tomorrow......and then we're that much closer to spring!!!
It's coming.......are your horses starting to shed??????
