when you make a commitment and then wonder how you are going to fullfill it?
When Donna and I decided that we wanted to try to get this board going again........I made a promise to post something everyday to see if that would help get others to post....and it seems like that plan is working.........but oh my, some days it's a chore to find something worthwhile and meaningful to write about. I want the subject I choose to be something friendly and broad enough to catch the interest of almost anyone and to encourage them to at least write a short response......
But, some days, I come on and just can't even think of something interesting to write about.
I'd love to have Tami drop in as I would love to have her add a Site Meter to the site. I have one on my Foal Cam message board and it is so interesting to see where people come from when they visit....
Well, I went out to dinner last evening with my trainer and we had such a nice time....one of the things that we talked about had to do with having an Arabian Fesival (or whatever you want to call it) at her barn this spring. She houses a "Handicapped Riding Group" and they are going to be a part of the festivities.
Last year she and I conducted 3 Clinics....Feb, Mar, and April and the group did the food for those clincs and did a wonderful job. We really had a good time with the clinics, but that took a huge commitment ..........lots of advertising, etc. I have to say, for very little return other than lots of "Thank you's".....
Those clinics focused more on general "horsey" topics: starting a horse, ground driving, vet care, accupuncture, nutrition, clipping, loading, finishing the show horse, etc.
Well, this year she wants the emphais to be on the Arabian Horse and everything that it can do........and she has her horses, or clients that can demonstrate everything from dressage, to hunter, to CEP, to Western, to Halter, to Show Hack, to Sport Horse in Hand, to costurme..........you name it and they do it. Sounds like fun.
Anyhow, we are just beginning the planning so I'm asking you for any good ideas for planning, promoting, things to feature about the Arabian, or any other ideas you might have........Let us hear them!!!! We're looking forward to a fun celebreation!
