I took old Zarra to another Dressage show today. This was also a 3 star, fully rated show. I played it safe by just doing Training level tests 2 and 3. We are bordering on being ready for first level. Actually she was ready until her long long layoff for joint issues. She's 22 now. The old horse still got scores in the low 60% range, inspite of my unusually crappy riding today. My brain forgot to come to the show, and it doesn't help that there is no Dressage court where I board, and I misjudge where some of the markers are for doing movements accurately. But heck, it was an open show, we played with the big boys and did ok.
