Thanks Peter. I also took her out for a long trail walk on Sunday. No saddle, just a walk for both of us exploring the BLM land just up the road from me. The county road that is basically a trail head has a gate which is locked in the winter, but there is a people passage between the gate and a guard rail. No way around it as there is a highway on one side and a sheer drop on the other. Robby barely clears through it. Saba has never done such a thing and I was a bit apprehensive trying it. She squeaked through fine. Being a flat land horse she has no experience with drop offs along the trails. She insisted that she couldn't get down a steep but short (about 4 feet with a steep slope) ledge. She watched me climb down, was nervous about trying it, then figured out how to get her back feet under herself. Now she climbs up and down all over the place. My right arm might be a little longer from trying to hang on to her, but we had a great time.
