This last year was one of big changes for us. We moved from western WA to the north Idaho panhandle, just south of Priest Lake. The process of moving was quite an ordeal, but now we are relatively settled. We spent all summer rebuilding the barn, building/fixing fences, fixing Bill's shop up(still not done) and dealing with lots of things in the house. I brought 4 horses with us, Jr(SH Aur Tiger), Tzadee, Azhar and Jazzmynn, my "lifers". I didn't ride all summer, too busy but next year I hope to get out and put many miles on them. We live next to state and federal land and have virtually unlimited places to ride. Jr was gelded in June. He was just obnoxious and unhappy enough, along with the fact I don't plan to breed anymore, that I decided we would all be happier if he was a gelding. He started to mellow out within a week and now is a much happier, sociable boy, able to happily share a field with Azhar. He will be going to Pullman for arthroscopic surgery on his hock fairly soon as he somehow managed to get a bone chip in it. We have been waiting for the swelling to go down a bit more to schedule it. But he should be fit to ride by summer according to the vet.
