These are my new neighbors. I love to watch them as they play out in the big hay field. Napoleon and Speedy are the mini-donkeys, a rescued father/son pair. (Napoleon is now gelded.) They are the best of friends with Littl Bit and Pumpkin, the pygmy goats. They share the field with 3 horses but this foursome is always together. Our neighbors have done a great job of regaining the trust of the 2 boys. Speedy(the son) was so named as he was almost impossible to touch when rescued(at 6 months). They certainly aren't difficult to catch anymore. On occasion they have slipped under my temporary hot wire and come over to visit. All I have to do is walk where I want them to go and they will follow. They almost have me convinced I need a mini-donkey.......
