Hi Sue!!!! Not sure I'll ever do Tevis, the heat just about killed me on this last ride and I'd say if you ever planned to do Tevis, this would be a great ride to prepare, similar elevation changes, steep trails, areas of no water and don't forget, HOT! Lots of grass for horses on the trail though, so that part is wonderful. Just don't know on Tevis, plus the scary factor there might get to me, that horse that just died there from just a normal accident and a training ride doesn't get me too excited about the Tevis trail. Maybe I need to crew for someone first!
