Sorting problems

I am using Markus Zehnders LCD plugin along with album list (http://www.markuszehnder.ch/projects/lcdplugin/). I have a couple of problems. The first is that when I select "artists" from the LCD plugin menu, they are not in any particular order. Is there any way I can sort this? It just seems strange that they all appear in order on the albums menu, but not the artists menu. Secondly I know you can select "play all files" from the album list window. The problem is I am running a car MP3 system and there is no way I can actually click the "play all files button". Any suggestions on how I could play all files using only the functions intergrated into the LCD plugin? An idea I had was some form of file named "all music" which appears to the plugin as an mp3 file. When selected it plays every mp3 file found by album list on the HDD. I could use a playlist file but I am looking for something I don't need to update when I add new files. Open to any suggestions.
