artist - album - year

Just wondering about the album naming option "artist - album - year".
I have now collected over 2500 full albums that includes year in the directory name - not a single on of them follows that naming schema.
98% of them uses the "artist - album (year)"
1% of them uses the "artist - album [year]"
1% of them "artist - album (record company - year)"
