LCD-Plugin and AL

Hello,
i build a mp3-standalone player without keyboard, mouse, monitor. I use this great LCD-plugin [http://www.markuszehnder.ch/projects/lcdplugin/index.html]. Now the new version is out, and the plugin supports AL.
Is anyone here who have experiences with the LCD-plugin and AL ???
I have about 800 albums on my mp3 player and its real hard to handel them ...
It would be nice if someone have some hints ...
