I am well aware of the Airedale's history Pops they have been my life's work. I do not think anyone including myself would want to see a flood of sorry Airedales being bred, except maybe the dog jockeys looking to make a living off them.
I am not a big Walker dog fan myself as English hounds are my chosen breed. I don't know one way or the other about the accuracy of your statement concerning the Walker breed. I will say I faced enough of them in the night hunts to know that they are dogs to be reckoned with.
This discussion is about Airedales and if you knew anything about the breed you would know there are very few serious hunters using Airedales. All I am saying is I would like to see more of them actually used as hunting dogs. Actual hunting is the only way I know of to evaluate and identify Airedales suitable for breeding. Now if you you have some way of identifying hunting dog suitable for breeding without getting them into the woods I am all ears.
As for your question would I really like to a bigger number of real hunters actually using Airedales the answer is damned right I would
I could care less what someone sells their dogs for, it is a free country last I knew. If you want to believe that hunting line breeders getting big money for their pups are doing so for the good of the breed so be it.
