Which cereal briefly retired their mascot BuzzBee to draw attention to the dwindling bee population? A - Honeycomb
B - Honey Smacks
C - Honey Nut Cheerios
D - Honey Bunches of Oats
Answer: C - Honey Nut Cheerios We know him as BuzzBee now, but for the first twenty years of his shelf life, the Honey Nut Cheerios mascot was nameless. That changed in 2000, when a fifth grade student from Coolidge, Texas, won a national contest to name the bee, and dubbed him "BuzzBee". In March 2017, General Mills announced the BuzzBee image had been removed from boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, and replaced with a white outline of where BuzzBee used to be. This was done to in an effort to draw attention to the dwindling bee population. Added to the cereal box was a plea to "Help Bring Back The Bees."
