Dear Gloria,
Prior to AGO, I was raised in my St Francis Mission.
I remember All Saints Day as a High Mass, a holy day.
All Souls Day was a Low Mass, remembering those who had passed-on before me. I don't rememeber leaving the church and returning though. There are always local customs, your memory is delightful.
