Do I remember this correctly?

Do you remember for All Souls Day, the day after all Saints Day, we used to go to church on our own, and say 6 Hail Mary's, Our Father's and Glory Be's? We said them for one person who is dead. Then we would go back outside the church and come back in and do it all over again. We did this for each person who died and was special in our lives. I think we understood that person would be helped getting out of purgatory faster with all the indulgences that person received as a result of our prayers. P.S. Thanks for all your great comments on my Sister Gragory story.I'm sure we all have special memories of special nuns and priests.I'd love to hear some of your stories.
