Byron Johnson will be competing at the ADAU Nationals next year in Philadelphia ! He will be competing in the 242’s ! Huh…What do you mean you never heard of Byron Johnson ? Byron is a friend of nearly 30 years. He is a lifter from my old gym down in Georgia from the 80’s. I contacted him last week and invited him to come up for the meet next year. He got back to me a few days ago and he accepted. Here's what I'm trying to do. Most of us old guys have a lot of contacts from the “Old Days”. Folk from all over the country. If you know someone from another state who is a lifter, invite them to the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection next year. That might help us increase our diversity at the Nationals year. Let’s set a goal of at least (1) competitor from 25 different states. I also have (3) local lifters from Jersey who have committed to compete in either the Open Power or Bench Nationals next year. I’m going to call a few guys in South Carolina next. Come on folks and get on board. ! CALL SOMEBODY !
